Yoga to help a yogi in need in DC

A serious note.

As the below image recounts, a yoga teacher in DC was attacked and injured last weekend, and the word I’m hearing is he doesn’t have health insurance.

You can see where this is going: He’s in the hospital, he needed some surgery. Anytime the word “surgery” enters the picture, the costs rise.

Yogis — including a lot of Ashtangis — from all over are rallying around Michael Joel Hall. How you can help is included in the image. More information is available at this Facebook page.

As the image notes, there’s a donation-based class/fundraiser and also a link to a Paypal page where you can offer a donation straight-away.

We aren’t among those who know him, but we certainly are seeing all the efforts going on to assist — and that speaks volumes for and about Michael.

Awesome! But a small suggestion, a metal plate permanently implanted in the face due to a broken cheek and jaw isn’t minor. They told him that he was at risk of losing his sight in the op. He didn’t, but I would not call it minor. Namaste.

Thanks for adding the info; I think in the immediate aftermath (the first info we got) people were saying “minor”, perhaps to distinguish from life-threatening / serious.
