Tim Miller leads a Great Melt Down in New York

Earlier in the week, we linked over to a Krishna Das photo on Facebook that featured KD, Tim Miller, Eddie Stern and Leslie Kaminoff. (You can still find it here.)

Now, we get a little behind-the-scenes from Tim, as he recounts his weekend workshop in New York City:

I haven’t been to New York for 7 or 8 years, so all my jokes seemed fresh and the students were polite enough to laugh in all the right places.  At 6:30 we made a transition from the Physics of Asana to the Metaphysics of Asana when I broke out my Matrushka (Russian nestling dolls) to represent the Pancha Koshas and offered some reflections on my first experience of Ashtanga Yoga and the great Epiphany it produced.  A lot of people showed up to listen to my theories about how the practice penetrates all the different Koshas–I added the disclaimer that my ideas shouldn’t necessarily be confused with Truth.

Zini was gracious enough to host a dinner party on Sunday and allow us to invite some of our special friends.  It was a great treat to visit with people we don’t get to see very often.

As always, the best stuff is over at the link, including who all was at that dinner party. Some of the folks you can guess.

And I guess as we are mentioning KD, we can note that he’s well exceeded his Kickstarter goal to fund a new album. He was shooting for $54,000 and as of now he’s closing in on $160,000.
