Back to asana obsession: Second Series DVD with DG

Yes, yes, we just posted about how there may be too much focus and emphasis on just one limb of Ashtanga — the asana limb — and we got some feedback on the post, on Facebook and via emails/messages that people are feeling the same thing.

There’s a sense of wanting to uproot our asana practice, much as we uproot of lotus in Utplutih.

But, that’s not going to happen overnight, right?

To help you through the process, here’s a preview video for David Garrigues’ new Second Series instructional DVD. And a shout out to FotCC (Friend of the Confluence Countdown) Thad, one of the students:

I guess it’s been floating around for a week or so. But if you haven’t taken a look, do so. And if you’re so inspired, doing a little more asana probably won’t harm you.

  1. I might be a little biased since I’m in the video….but this one is a little unique in the fact that it’s not picture perfect and each student’s abilities are totally different. If you’re practicing second series, you’re likely to relate to one of the students in the room. 🙂
