I’ll admit, though — it isn’t the worst “Ashtanga elevator speech” I’ve seen or heard.

  1. While not exactly inaccurate, it misses the essential point that ashtanga is an individual, personal practice that one learns and memorizes. One is then independent of “classes” until such time as the need for more instruction arises. When I explain this, people are much more interested. It is not just another mother-may-I gym class. Also, why not show a mysore room instead of the model doing generic postures?
