Off to Third Series training (and surfing)

I’m just going to drop in a Facebook post Bobbie put up on Friday:

I would like to thank everyone who has cheerfully told me to have a “relaxing” / “chill” / “enjoyable” time at my yoga teacher training; however, I’m actually going to a sweat-soaked, ass-kicking, tapas wringer and will be lucky if I survive with any amount of dignity.

That pretty well sums it up. For her.

I, on the other hand, will get into that sweat-soaked room pretty regularly, I’m thinking, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that days of open-ended surfing weren’t calling. (If only those days were also saying, “3 to 5 foot,” rather than the 1 to 3 I’m seeing now.)

In between all this activity or lack of activity, we’ll… get some reports up. I’m not sure how Bobbie will manage to translate her training; we’ll see what snippets of video are possible. We’ll try to capture the full-throttled tapas of 40-odd serious Ashtanga practitioners converging on the Ashtanga Yoga Center.

Or maybe I’ll just post sunset photos from the balcony of where we’re staying. You’ll have to check back in and find out. More to come by tomorrow at the latest.
